It's been a long while since i've done a post on here, i kind of forgot how great writing is to get everything down. I had to write a lot for college etc, so never found the time to write because i wanted to. I am in a sort of in between period at the moment, in between leaving college/sixth form and heading to university. It's all very strange to have finished one chapter but not moving onto the next yet. I think i'm going to keep this blog more up to date, as it is good to keep my life on track. Not anymore a beauty blog as such but as a lifestyle blog and just things i'm getting up to and finding interesting. Life is exciting, and i'm currently in a very exciting point. I'm moving to London in 10 days, having only been there twice in my life, both very briefly. It's a strange concept to think it will be my home. I'm moving to do acting at university, at a place i was very lucky to get into. I've also taken steps to travel america next summer after my first year. Everything is planned out and all new and exciting, but right now, i'm just sort of hanging around, not doing much. Waiting to go. I still have a lot to do but i'm just not feeling like i have anything to do, and i'm just sitting around waiting. I don't want to wait.

Meeting Zoella | Girl Online Book Signing!

Hello!
So on the 27th of November i met the wonderful Zoe Sugg in Manchester for her debut novel Girl Online book signing!

I have to say it was the most organised YouTuber event sort of thing i've ever been to so far, i haven't really been to many but it started at 5, like she started meeting people at 5, and i had met her by half 5 which i was not expecting! It all seemed to go so quickly and smoothly, no one was pushing and everything was ordered.

I got the train to Liverpool which only takes about 10 minutes, then a 40 minute train to Manchester. But that's when it got confusing, so that there wasn't a huge crowd of people without tickets we were only told the venue 2 days before via email. When i got the email i had no idea where this place was, it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere! Which is good i guess because no one would think she would be there. We had to get 2 trams and then walk for 10 minutes to finally get to the place. It was a really posh sort of function building suite thing. We even walked on a red carpet while we were going in to collect our books and wristbands. We were just about to go upstairs but we were stopped because they thought it was full upstairs, so we waited downstairs for about 10 minutes then they let some more up. It was a huge room split into two with curtains. We were waiting on the other side of the curtain and then Zoe arrived. Everyone could see her in that room! We got let into the second room where she was and it was all going so quickly. Because you weren't allowed any photos when you were up there everyone tried to take selfies and photos of her, as many as you could until you got up there. The line was literally constantly moving!

I found it quite unfair that if you had a parent with you they got a different coloured wristband and could take photos from the side while you were up on stage with Zoe :( I really wanted a photo but couldn't get on with her. But i did record the whole thing!

I was panicking loads as i was getting closer and i went first out of me and my friend. I went up to her and she said Hi! and i gave her the Zoe fan book me and my friend had made with loads of messages in. She said it was really cool and i asked her when she was getting Nala and she told me Saturday and then i said thank you for everything, and she said thank you for coming bye! It was all so fast but i did burst into tears just a little bit once i'd left. I got the whole thing on voice record so i remembered what i said! It was all so crazy and i can't believe i met her!

 Have a fabulous morning/afternoon/evening/night!
lots of love

I've been away for a LONG time

Hello!
So yes, I've been away for a VERY long time. So I thought I'd give a little update on what's been happening in my life!
- my baby brother (Oscar) was born
- I moved college, I am now doing full time musical theatre!
- doing driving lessons, nearly ready to take my test!

Those are just the main things that have happened. I don't really have a reason for being away for so long. My domain of sampears.com expired as I only had it for a year so it's back to blog spot. But hopefully I'll get it back as long as I keep up with this blog!
I just forgot what to do when I had time to myself, when i used to just write a blog post. But I just sort of, stopped. And now I don't really have anything to review or anything at the minute. So I might do some fashion posts, or a post on Zoellas book signing that I went to, I'm not quite sure!
Let me know what you guys thinks

Lots of love

How I Met Your Mother Finale | REVIEW *SPOILERS*

This contains spoilers, lots of them. So if you have not yet watched the finale of how i met your mother, then watch it and come back here.
Also this is not a regular 'beauty blog' post i just REALLY need to vent my feelings, again, i have already done it several times to several of my friends. There's a lot to say.

So, the legen- (wait for it) - dary 9 season series of 'How I Met Your Mother' has drawn to a close, it's final 2 episodes were aired on Monday night, on CBS at 8pm Eastern Time (1am where i live...) I watched it the following day. I was so pleased with the start of the episode and i was so excited to see the ending and everything in between! I am a huge fan of the show,

Then the first bombshell hit. Barney and Robin got divorced. Now, okay, don't get me wrong i don't mind all TOO much that they got divorced, maybe they grew apart and all that. But it's just the fact that the whole of season 9 was based around their wedding? They did the whole build up of the elaborate proposal and everything up to the wedding and it showed just how much they loved each other. It wasn't perfect, and they argued but you'd think they would make it work. And they wouldn't base an entire season on their wedding if their marriage only lasts 3 years?!

But i will forgive the writers on that, there has to be some surprises in there to make you shocked and just to keep the audience on their toes.

Then Ted makes a long drawn-out goodbye to his friends. Which did make me cry, because he was moving to Chicago, so you have to say goodbye. But then they go to the bar and there he is. He didn't move because he saw a cute girl. The rest of them are hardly even mad. He made them go through a horrible goodbye which made them all upset, to just be there, sat chilling in the bar again. UGH.

I did really think Barney's ending was brilliant. I'm sad he get divorced, but then he has a baby and thats what he was looking for his whole life really. But who is the mother? You don't even find out it's just some random girl. But does Barney keep the baby? Do they share looking after the baby? Too many unanswered questions.

The last 10/15 minutes are just the worst. Far too many things happen far too quickly. It's like the ending has been so rushed, we gain wayyy too much information to process. It's the kind of ending that could have been put on the end of any episode. Like they were always ready to end it whenever, but they could have planned it out better.

The writers had this ending planned since the beginning. But the fact is i for one have grown to realise Ted wasn't meant to be with Robin. Which is what they kept saying, so basically the mother, isn't Robin, but the girl Ted ends up with is the girl he meets straight away in the first episode where we are lead to believe that 'no it won't be her that would be ridiculous' because it's not REAL you don't say i want to find the love of my life, and then meet her straight away.

We were also made to absolutely adore the mother, she was so perfect for Ted. Like they were amazing, so much better suited than Robin and Ted were, but then oh sorry the mother died of an illness. No more information. You don't even find out she's actually dead until the kids go 'Moms been dead for 6 years'

The actual meeting of Ted and the mother was beautiful i loved the whole same initials thing with the umbrella and the looks they gave each other. It was perfect, and it would have been an extraordinary ending if it just stopped there. But of course not, stop there?! Why would we do such a thing.

Now i wouldn't have been okay, but i would have thought it was a suitable ending if he said 'and that kids is how i met your mother' after the umbrella scene. and then it cuts to the kids crying and Ted comforts them and says it's okay and they'll get through it together, and it was true love and he had the happiest time with her, and now he has those two and its all okay. That would have been the 'beautiful ending' which is what Cristin Milioti described, after denying that the mother would die and saying that that idea is 'insane'. Look what happened.

But no, the kids aren't upset. They aren't upset at all. They basically say 'No dad don't be silly this entire show isn't about how you met mom it's about Aunt Robin' then go on to tell their dad to go and get Robin, one of his best friends ex-wives, which we have been led to believe repeatedly that their relationship does not work.

In my opinion, they tried too hard to do a 'Ross and Rachel' on 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S', and bring the couple you always wanted to be together, together. But it really didn't work. Ted is supposed to be with the mother, not Robin. That is what these whole 9 seasons have been telling us. But then to make a dramatic twist like that. I see how they think it would have been shocking and amazing, but it was shocking and enraging.

For me, the ending was under the yellow umbrella. I'm going to try and pretend the rest of it was a bad dream. I will miss it though, everything else was so good.

I want to congratulate the writers of 'How I Met Your Mother' for a brilliant, just shy of 9 seasons of brilliant television, the cast were incredible and everything was amazing about the show. But just why did it have to end like that? You had so much potential.

Christmas Presents from LUSH

I was VERY VERY excited to recieve some lush gifts off one of my best friends Ashleigh today.
I didn't get a picture of it wrapped up but it was in this lovely candy cane wrapping paper wrapped by lush. I got the 'I Want Candy' gift set which comes with 2 amazing items, Rock Star Soap and the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar. Which both smell absolutely incredibly, like i wish i could like show you how good it smells. The description for the Rock Star Soap is 'Ease your sugar cravings with our candy scented soap star, complete with creamy lather'. For the Candy Mountain it says 'Towering, vanilla scented, candy pink bubbles'.

It smells kind of like sweets which is what it is described as.. The Rock Star Soap smells less strong than the candy mountain bubble bar does. But they are both similar just different strengths of scent.
Rock Star Soap

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar

I am seriously SO SO impressed with these and i'm very excited to use them as they have had so many good reviews. You are supposed to be able to get more than one use out of both of these products so i am very excited to see if that is true. I really recommend these products as Christmas presents as they're just really cute and smell incredible. I'm really happy with these as presents it's great.

Hope you all have a very very Happy Christmas if I don't post before then xx

SUPERDRUG HAUL feat. Maybelline, Real Techniques, MUA and Rimmel London.

My Superdrug Haul
Hellooooo

First of all, i apologise for my absence for like a few months or however long it's been, oops.
So i realised how much i have neglected this blog so i'm gonna get back into the swing of things, so here's a nice haul for you to read!
The first thing i bought i was incredibly excited about. My first real techniques brush! I've had my eye on these for quite a while but i've never actually bought them because i've always needed some other things, but today i bought one for myself hooray! It feels so soft and i wish i had like a pillow made out of it. I am so excited to use it!
It is sooooo soft

In the packaging
I am incredibly happy with that purchase, and i am definitely going to be buying more in the future. I've tried it once now, and instantly it just makes your makeup look smoother and better. Love it.
Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
I thought i should really get some more makeup because of my new makeup brush so i bought my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, which i absolutely ADORE. I've bought it a couple times before so this is just another repurchase, because i love it. It just makes my face look better.

I've made another repurchase which is my MUA bronzer, which is just a pound! Seriously i was looking at all the more expensive ones, but i went back to MUA because i know it's a good quality, and i don't want to buy an expensive one to find out it's not very good. But i love this bronzer a lot
These next few things are christmas presents, lets hope who's getting them doesn't look at my blog until she gets them ahahah. But i just really liked the look of these, they're quite big and they were relatively cheap as well. I was very impressed with them and think they make a great cute little gift set so i bought the shower cream, body butter and exfoliating shower smoothie!
bubble bath and shower creme

body butter
I also got these because they smell RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING. Seriously, they're from superdrug so i say if you live near one then go get some mango and papaya because wow.
bath bomb
I also got this bath bomb, i'm not sure if it works or not but it was only a pound so i thought hey, why not. I got it for a present and i thought the packaging was cute.
104 Noite De Gal
These are also presents, they are for my mum. I like the colours, the top is red and glittery and the bottom is a gorgeous deep purple. Both by the 'Color Show' by Maybelline.
265 Wine Shimmer

All of my haul
I am really really happy with my purchases. Oh, there is Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse in the haul... i haven't included that because i am going to be doing a separate review on that and also because my camera died before i could take a picture of it. But i do like that foundation a lot, and it is a repurchase but i purchased it in a slightly different shade, the post on that will be coming soon.  I've done a lot of my christmas shopping and a bought some nice things for me as well. So overall a great shopping trip. I also got some things from The Body Shop. But i think i'll do a separate post on them as well.

Review | Schwarzkopf got2b Salt Spray - Beach Matt Mermaid Look

Apparently salt sprays are good, many YouTubers are going on about them, and it's been on my list for a while of things to buy. So i bought it.

It's really easy to do, i love how it gives you like messy hair, but it looks nice. So you don't have to make sure that it looks smooth and brushed, because it looks really good messy. You just spray it on your hair, and then scrunch away. It's a super simple hairstyle for if you're in a rush and just going shopping or to school or college and can't really be bothered.

I really like how it adds volume to your hair as well, so it doesn't look flat. It looks thick and vibrant and big. It just keeps getting better over time as well, because the wind makes it even messier and it looks awesome.

I really think it goes well with a beanie hat or a sun hat in the summer. Or with no hat. Even the flower headbands go well and look really nice! Because i wear extensions, i think the salt spray really mixes my real and fake hair, so it looks even more natural!

Before

After

I really like this product, i can't compare it to others because this is the only one i have. But it's super super good!

You can buy this product HERE for £

I hope you had/are having/are about to have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,
Sam xx
