Christmas Presents from LUSH

I was VERY VERY excited to recieve some lush gifts off one of my best friends Ashleigh today.
I didn't get a picture of it wrapped up but it was in this lovely candy cane wrapping paper wrapped by lush. I got the 'I Want Candy' gift set which comes with 2 amazing items, Rock Star Soap and the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar. Which both smell absolutely incredibly, like i wish i could like show you how good it smells. The description for the Rock Star Soap is 'Ease your sugar cravings with our candy scented soap star, complete with creamy lather'. For the Candy Mountain it says 'Towering, vanilla scented, candy pink bubbles'.

It smells kind of like sweets which is what it is described as.. The Rock Star Soap smells less strong than the candy mountain bubble bar does. But they are both similar just different strengths of scent.
Rock Star Soap

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar

I am seriously SO SO impressed with these and i'm very excited to use them as they have had so many good reviews. You are supposed to be able to get more than one use out of both of these products so i am very excited to see if that is true. I really recommend these products as Christmas presents as they're just really cute and smell incredible. I'm really happy with these as presents it's great.

Hope you all have a very very Happy Christmas if I don't post before then xx

Lots of love,
Sam xx

SUPERDRUG HAUL feat. Maybelline, Real Techniques, MUA and Rimmel London.

My Superdrug Haul
Hellooooo

First of all, i apologise for my absence for like a few months or however long it's been, oops.
So i realised how much i have neglected this blog so i'm gonna get back into the swing of things, so here's a nice haul for you to read!
The first thing i bought i was incredibly excited about. My first real techniques brush! I've had my eye on these for quite a while but i've never actually bought them because i've always needed some other things, but today i bought one for myself hooray! It feels so soft and i wish i had like a pillow made out of it. I am so excited to use it!
It is sooooo soft

In the packaging
I am incredibly happy with that purchase, and i am definitely going to be buying more in the future. I've tried it once now, and instantly it just makes your makeup look smoother and better. Love it.
Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
I thought i should really get some more makeup because of my new makeup brush so i bought my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, which i absolutely ADORE. I've bought it a couple times before so this is just another repurchase, because i love it. It just makes my face look better.

I've made another repurchase which is my MUA bronzer, which is just a pound! Seriously i was looking at all the more expensive ones, but i went back to MUA because i know it's a good quality, and i don't want to buy an expensive one to find out it's not very good. But i love this bronzer a lot
These next few things are christmas presents, lets hope who's getting them doesn't look at my blog until she gets them ahahah. But i just really liked the look of these, they're quite big and they were relatively cheap as well. I was very impressed with them and think they make a great cute little gift set so i bought the shower cream, body butter and exfoliating shower smoothie!

body butter
I also got these because they smell RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING. Seriously, they're from superdrug so i say if you live near one then go get some mango and papaya because wow.
bath bomb
I also got this bath bomb, i'm not sure if it works or not but it was only a pound so i thought hey, why not. I got it for a present and i thought the packaging was cute.
104 Noite De Gal
These are also presents, they are for my mum. I like the colours, the top is red and glittery and the bottom is a gorgeous deep purple. Both by the 'Color Show' by Maybelline.
265 Wine Shimmer

All of my haul
I am really really happy with my purchases. Oh, there is Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse in the haul... i haven't included that because i am going to be doing a separate review on that and also because my camera died before i could take a picture of it. But i do like that foundation a lot, and it is a repurchase but i purchased it in a slightly different shade, the post on that will be coming soon.  I've done a lot of my christmas shopping and a bought some nice things for me as well. So overall a great shopping trip. I also got some things from The Body Shop. But i think i'll do a separate post on them as well.

Review | Schwarzkopf got2b Salt Spray - Beach Matt Mermaid Look

Apparently salt sprays are good, many YouTubers are going on about them, and it's been on my list for a while of things to buy. So i bought it.

It's really easy to do, i love how it gives you like messy hair, but it looks nice. So you don't have to make sure that it looks smooth and brushed, because it looks really good messy. You just spray it on your hair, and then scrunch away. It's a super simple hairstyle for if you're in a rush and just going shopping or to school or college and can't really be bothered.

I really like how it adds volume to your hair as well, so it doesn't look flat. It looks thick and vibrant and big. It just keeps getting better over time as well, because the wind makes it even messier and it looks awesome.

I really think it goes well with a beanie hat or a sun hat in the summer. Or with no hat. Even the flower headbands go well and look really nice! Because i wear extensions, i think the salt spray really mixes my real and fake hair, so it looks even more natural!

Before

After

I really like this product, i can't compare it to others because this is the only one i have. But it's super super good!

You can buy this product HERE for £

I hope you had/are having/are about to have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,
Sam xx

College/Back To School Essentials!

Bit of a late post! But i just decided to do a post on all my stationary because I'm going to college/sixth form! So you need more stationary things than you do at high school, because in high school they provided everything for you... you just had to bring a pen and you could get by. But you have to provide a lot more at college. So i went shopping and i thought i'd share what i purchased with you! Just a little short post, you can get all of these items from pretty much anywhere online. Haven't included links as i got them all in store but they are pretty easy to find!

I haven't bought everything i need yet, i'm going to get a couple more notebooks and things but these are the basics that i'm going to be taking to college with me!

Notebooks

Pens+Pencils

Highlighters

Pencil Case

Files

I hope you had/are having/are about to have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,
Sam xx

Lifestyle Post | Update

Hello! I haven't blogged in weeks and it's annoyed me so much. But I'm getting back in to it now! So yay.

This is just an update on my life so i can ramble for a little bit, you don't really need to read it if you aren't interested. So click on another post about beauty or fashion that I've written!

So the Internets been off for like the past two weeks and it has been TORTURE living off 3G. Good job i have unlimited Internet on my phone (thank you GiffGaff). But yeah I'm not all that big a fan of BT right now. The wifi has been dodgy for like the past year, as well as the tv. But it finally died but then they said it was fixing it then it came back on, but then it broke again. But now i THINK it's back on for good, can't be sure though. Just give me enough time to write this post at least please!!

The next big thing is i went to college! I've been there about 3 weeks now, and i am really loving it. Like it's just really great. It's hard work moving from GCSE to AS, but i kind of grew out of high school and I wouldn't go back, even though all the teachers were like "You'll want to come back, just you wait!" I really wouldn't. I'm glad i didn't choose to go to a school sixth form, my school doesn't have one but i could have gone to another. But i chose not to because i just wanted more independence and having freedom to leave and stuff and i just felt I'd be treated more as an adult.

So 3 weeks in and i still love it. I can tell it's going to get harder but i love my course choices. I chose English Language, Drama and Theatre Studies, Media Studies and Performing Arts. I'm doing them all at AS level and then if i pass them (which hopefully i will because I'm going to work my socks off) I'll be able to do 3 of them as an A level and then go on to University, or take a gap year then go. I haven't really decided.

I think the reason i love college is because I'm doing things i want to do and i enjoy them and i am interested in them. So it's really fun. Like Performing Arts is literally just performing, which is all i want to do, ever. And i love all of my classes too. They're all super fun and amazing.

Oh yeah iOS7 came out. I love it very much. I thought they needed to change the look of it, as I've had either an iPhone or iPod for like 5 years now and it was getting a little bit boring looking the same all the time. I'm a bit gutted i don't get the 3D look of the wallpaper or anything because i have the iPhone 4. And i don't get the transparency thing or anything. But i still love the new layout. I know some people aren't fond of it but i REALLY am.

My little sister turns 2 soon which is exciting. She's gotten so big and adorable and she says so many things. She's really clever! She likes telling me off too, if i tickle her too much and she gets fed up i get a little 'alright Sam' or 'naughty Sam'. It's great. I love her a lot.

So yeah, that's been basically my life this past like month. I doubt you read all that but if you did, sorry if i bored you i just like to write things down. :) Comment if you need any questions about this post answering! I love reading and answering comments!

I hope you had/are having/are about to have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,
Sam xx

Review | MUA "Cover and Conceal" Concealer

I was buying some new foundation and powder and decided to pick up a different MUA concealer, just to try it out. It is a liquid one which i thought would be better than the stick i had byMUA.

I absolutely LOVE MUA products, 99% of my makeup is MUA  There's nothing like it. You can't get this good quality for the price anywhere else, it's remarkable.

I've had it for over a week, and i really love it and i'm super impressed with it. I love the brush and how easily it applies and blends and goes with my skin tone. It's really magnificent.

It covers any blemishes i have and anything. I just put this on to start to even my skin tone, then apply my MUA foundation, and it all stays on really nicely!

I really love this concealer and i think it is going to be a repurchase once it's empty!

You can buy Cover and Conceal from selected Superdrug's in the UK or on MUA's website HERE for £1.50 which ships worldwide!

P.S I haven't been posting because of my internet. Not because i got bored or anything. I just wasn't able to post because i couldn't use my computer at all and don't want to post off my phone because i want good quality pictures and everything. So apologies but i am back now!

I hope you had/are having/are about to have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,
Sam xx

Review | Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Polish!

L to R | Prickly Pear - Papaya - Green Berry
I thought it was appropriate to do a review on this seeing as i have tried more than one out so i actually have an opinion! I've seen many bloggers rave about this, like Zoella and Sprinkle of Glitter. So i bought one (Green Berry) to see what it was like and i loved it!

So today, i bought 2 more because they were on offer (2 for £6) I purchased 'Papaya' and 'Prickly Pear'. They are two amazing shades! Prickly pear is a light purple lavender colour and papaya is a pastel but bright light orangey coral colour... (hard to explain).

L to R | Prickly Pear - Papaya - Green Berry
I have fallen in love with these nail polishes, i never usually spend much on nail polishes and don't really invest in Barry M products, but these are something else. They are SO SHINY. They truly live up to the 'Hi-Shine' claim. No need for a top coat, they seriously don't change at all from when you put it on when it's wet, i couldn't tell when it was dry in the slightest, i just had to hope for the best!

'Prickly Pear'
I highly recommend these products, they are great for the summer (or what's left of it) or for any other season just to add a splash of colour to your outfit and complete your look. I'm currently wearing Prickly Pear now and i love it!!

Buy it HERE

I hope you had/are having/are about to have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,
Sam xx

Lifestyle Post | RESULTS DAY

Me and 2 of my friends on results day!
I'm 16 and have just left year 11, and 2 days ago i got my dreaded GCSE results, i wish examiners marked them quicker so you didn't have to go through 8 weeks of torture thinking about what you have or haven't failed and did terribly on.

But the 22nd of August arrived and at about 5 past 10 i walked in to school, the results are released at 10 so when i got there there was loads of people walking out already saying letters so that made me so scared! I had to get walk past people asking me what i got when i didn't even have my envelope yet!

Anyway, i got my envelope and opened it and teachers were watching me open it which is quite distressing! But once I'd got it out, i realised i hadn't done too badly! I got 2 A*'s!! In English Literature and Spanish! I seriously wasn't expecting any of them at all, so i was over the moon!

I had 5 A's 4 B's 4 C's and 1 D (in chemistry, which I've never been good in and i expected to fail all 3 sciences so i was still very pleased)

So i have 15 GCSE'S (well 16 if you count the D but I'm not sure if you do or not).

I enrol in college on Wednesday, which should be interesting. Life seems to be going at a rapid pace recently, i think it's time to slow it down!

If you have any questions just leave a comment or email me and I'll definitely answer them!

I hope you had/are having/are about to have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,
Sam xx

SFX Make Up | Ripped Off Nail Look by Emma

Hello!
I’m Emma this is my first SFX make up post, which is going to become a monthly thing. I thought I’d start off with something quite basic. This post is a tutorial on a “ripped off nail” look, inspired by KlarieDelysArt, which is who I recreated and adapted this look from (mine is a little different to hers) Klaire is really good on YouTube and if you are into SFX makeup I would recommend her channel. KLAIRE'S CHANNEL.
What you will need: • One false nail (Cheaper the better) • Nail or lash glue • Lip brush • Red lipstick (close to a blood colour) • Scissors/nail file • Red food colouring • Paintbrush/ pen/ pencil • Red nail varnish

(All of these items are easy to get hold of, they are/should be widely available - it is possible for you to create this effect without some of the products, but for best results it is good to have all of them.)

STEP ONE

First, take your false nail and see what natural nail the bottom fits perfectly to, and then cut or file it down to the right length so that it looks realistic but don’t glue it down yet. Now rip it in half (this is why the cheaper the better because it’s easier to rip) and glue one half onto your nail, I used lash glue instead of nail glue just because it was easier to take off, because I wasn’t going to wear this for a long time, remember to keep the other half for step three.

Step One Complete. Half a false nail on finger.

STEP TWO

Next, take your red lipstick on your lip brush, and paint the half of your nail that doesn’t have the false nail, and try to get underneath the side of the false nail just a little bit. I used MUA lipstick in the shade 13. REVIEW HERE

Step Two. Lipstick on finger, looks like blood.

STEP THREE

Then with the other half of your false nail, rip that into half again, and glue the bottom half onto your nail, angled upwards because if it had just been ripped up, it wouldn’t stay in perfect position.

Step Three. Add more false nail.

STEP FOUR

Now with the end of your paint brush, pen or pencil, drop the food colouring into the small half of the nail, and all around your cuticle dabbing with your finger, and down the sides so it looks like the blood is trickling down your finger.

Step Four. Food colouring.

STEP 5 (Optional)

OPTIONAL: I thought that the top of the longer half of the false nail looked little too sharp, so I just dabbed a bit of red nail varnish around the top to make it look more realistic and less like a false nail.
Step 5 (optional) Dab red nail varnish.

And that’s it Like I said, as this is my first post on the blog I decided just to go for something small, but in the future I will do more facial sfx. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, and if anyone has any requests or suggestions for next month, I will be happy to recreate them for you, just leave a comment and I'll get back to you! ~Emma

MUA | 1D Little Things Collection - Cheek Tint in Coral Cutie

Coral Cutie Cheek Tint - Little Things Collection.
When i saw the Little Things collection get released, i said to myself, as much as i love One Direction... I'm not going to buy products i don't need, so no more lipsticks because I've got a drawer full of them... and i don't need any more nail polished for the same reason. But then i saw the cheek tints... and i don't own a cheek tint, and because there was a coral shade i decided that would be the one and ONLY thing i would buy from them.
Cute Packaging!!

I hadn't seen them in a Superdrug yet and i they weren't online when i looked so i panicked a bit... but then i went in to my Superdrug the other day and low and behold it was there :D I picked it up because i knew they were a favourite so they would sell out quickly, so i bought it without hesitation.

Swatch of Coral Cutie
I find it so so cute! I proper love it because there's so much of it, and it just seems like it is going to last for such a long long time it's great! It goes on really well, i absolutely love the shade! It reminds me of a cream version of MUA's powder blush in 'Lolly' which i adore. It's such a small container as well, so you can take it everywhere with you, it will just fit in a pocket or a bag or anything, so you can top up the colour on your cheeks, even though you don't really need to because it really lasts!!

The cheek tint also doubles up as a lipstick, which is cute! I recommend this product if you like adding a colour on your cheeks that is a little bit different, and for only £3 it still almost matches MUA's incredible prices. It is totally worth it for £3... this is going to last me forEVER.

Cuteeee
(PS if you haven't entered my GIVEAWAY yet, which features MUA nail products and and MUA blusher, and 3 nails inc. polishes! Just click HERE to go to the page!)
Buy the One Direction Cheek Tint in store, they aren't available online yet!! But they will be available on MUA's site.
Shop MUA's Site HERE

I hope you had/are having/are about to have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,
Sam xx
