Review | My Top 3 Lipsticks! MUA, Rimmel & Laura Geller

Hey guys!
I have collected many lipsticks over the years, and i have also gotten rid of many over the years. But recently i have become more of a person that wears lipstick every day, so i decided to pick out the 3 that are my absolute favourites, for many reasons, and tell you why they are so great that i decided to give them a feature.

The 3 lipsticks i have chosen are from 3 different brands and price ranges. So my absolute favourite lipsticks are:

So why are these 3 my favourites? Well, lets get down to it.

MUA Shade 2 Tube
I recently did a review on MUA Shade 2, which you will find HERE. I only bought it the other day, but i have no regrets in saying it's in my top 3. It is a truly beautiful shade, it's a nice delicate pinkish purple and i just love the way it feels! It has a real shine to it, and it doesn't matter that it doesn't last long. You can top it up all you want (although it may seem annoying). It already exceeds the standards you would expect from a lipstick that costs £1. MUA produce truly amazing high quality, low price products, perfect if you're on a tight budget but really want some lovely make up treats like me!
MUA Shade 2

My second lipstick that i have chosen is by Laura Geller, i really like this lipstick because it is of a crazy high quality/standard. It just feels like it is well made, it is quite heavy actually. It is a really good lipstick to use, it lasts for a long time and is really smooth on your lips - just what you would expect from a brand like Laura Geller. I really love it and use it on many occassions. This is the lipstick that i have had for the longest time, and it's been my trusty steed when going out for big events. It's a very subtle, but classy shade and i really like wearing it.

Finally, the last lipstick i have chosen is by Rimmel, it is their Lasting Finish in shade 166- Temptation. Now this is a bright red colour which i use if i'm going for a statement look. I really enjoy wearing it because it just makes you feel nice... if that makes sense? It's just a really good feel and it's so bright, shiny and glossy, it's just incredible. I love all of Rimmel's products, they're always very well made and always do the trick. Which is certainly the case with this lipstick. It's just an enjoyable experience to wear.

So that's why my favourite lipsticks are what they are. I love lipsticks, i just love the feel of wearing them and that your lips actually have a pretty colour rather than - well - lip...colour? I hope i can find some lipsticks that are just as good in the future! But for now i'm sticking with my little beauty's

Here's where to buy them:

You can buy the Laura Geller - Mocha Rose lipstick HERE for $18 - £11.90

me wearing Rimmel 166 Temptation - I love it!
You can buy the Rimmel London Lasting Finish - 166 Temptation HERE  from Feel Unique for £4.99
You can buy the MUA - Shade 2 HERE

Hope you are all having/had/are about to have a good day! I have, I've been job hunting! I hope I've been successful, fingers crossed!
Lots of Love,

Review | MUA Blusher, Concealer and Lipstick + Swatches

Hi Guys!

So, i went job hunting this morning, and thought I'd pop into Superdrug and see if there was anything i fancied, and look what i came across! I've wanted to try MUA products for a while now, and because they're such good value, i decided to purchase 3 items on their 3 for 2 offer.
I purchased Shade 1 Blusher, Hide and Conceal in the 'Natural' shade and Shade 2 Lipstick! All brilliant buys!

What it looks like in store
Everything i bought!

I took a while to decide what i was going to purchase, because it is all 3 for 2, i really had trouble picking from all the choice! If there were more nail varnishes in stock, i might have even swung towards them, but i am really glad i bought the items i chose. My first time purchasing MUA! I am definitely going to go back for more. I just can't get enough!

So firstly lets look at the lipstick. I bought Shade 2 MUA lipstick from Superdrug. I decided to buy it because i wanted to be a bit more adventurous with the shades on my lips, and i usually only wear lip gloss, and i have to say its a really good buy. I put it on and its not too bright but you can definitely tell  it is there! It seems like just the right shade for me. I must admit that it does go on a little bit duller than expected, but for the price of it, it really is good quality makeup if you're on a budget. I loved the shade as well, it's a pinky purpley and it is so so cute! I just love it, the actual tube looks so professional as well, it's just brilliant. The way you can see the colour on the bottom, it really is well designed and it is a great lipstick. Thank you MUA!

The tube look so professional!

The bottom of the lipstick, so cute!!

what the actual lipstick looks like

The second item i purchased was the 'Hide and Conceal' Concealer from MUA, i bought it in the 'Natural' shade. It really evens out your skin tone and is an amazing concealer for the price it is. Just £1! Absolute bargain, it really is as good quality as some of the more expensive brands out there.

MUA's NEW Hide&Conceal
When i put it on my face it seemed to be much lighter than my skin tone, which made me a bit worried, but if i rub it in it slightly it matches perfectly. I really love this concealer, i use it under my eyes to make them look wider and brighter, and to avoid dark circles, i just apply slightly more and don't rub it in as much because it makes it look more vibrant and light. I also use it on my eyelids as a primer or to make it look lighter if I'm just putting mascara on. It really does the trick, and makes you seem more awake and alert, than half asleep all day! So the MUA's 'Hide and Conceal' is brilliant, especially if you're on a budget. The only problem i have with it is that it doesn't stay up, you have to hold it unlike the lipstick. I am unsure whether this is a problem with just mine or everyones. But it doesn't really affect the performance of it, it still is a brilliant product.
Shade 1 Blusher

Last in my '3 for 2' offer was the Shade 1 Blusher by MUA. I am pretty upset that i didn't purchase one of the new colours, but I'll just have to go back! Because with MUA, you really can because of the price. It's ah-may-zing. I really loved how when you open the case of the blusher, MUA is imprinted in the powder, it looks really professional and cute. I really like the feel of it, you can just slip it into your bag and take it with you, although the case does seem to be a little flimsy, so I'd keep it in a separate little bag to keep it safe and to avoid it spilling everywhere! But apart from that, i absolutely love it. It's a cute little shimmery powder that really makes a subtle, but really cute effect on your cheeks which i love.
Swatches of the three. Blusher, lipstick & concealer

I highly recommend MUA, it's an amazing brand with very high quality products at crazy cheap prices! I love it and i am definitely going to buy again (I'm very excited to purchase the Fur Effect that you put on your nails! Ahh) I don't think I've ever got so excited about a brand before, MUA is definitely my new favourite and go-to brand. I'm so pleased with the products i have purchased, so go out there and get yourself some! You'd be silly not to! I love all three of the items i purchased on together, they go so well and give you a natural look that you can wear every day! It's so great, I've really been converted, everything i buy is going to be MUA now!

Review | Fräulein3°8 120 colours jelly matte eyeshadow palette + SWATCHES

Hey Guys!
So I've had this eyeshadow palette for a while now, and it's like my trusty steed. It's from a German brand called Fräulein3°8. So i decided I'd give it a little review for you. Well, I've used it for so many occasions, because of the range of colours! I use it everyday, and for special occasions. The possibilities are literally endless because of the vast range of colours the palette has.

the top palette on top of the bottom
The case the 120 colours comes in!
I own the 120 colours jelly matte eyeshadow palette and it really is all i could ask for, 120 colours is loads! They basically have all the colours you could possibly ask for, and that's just one palette out of all the ones they offer! On mine there are various shades of pinks, blues, greens, need i go on? Okay lets get down to the point. I absolutely love it!
It applies really well, although for some of the bright bold shades you need to put quite a bit on for it to be vibrant and it's an absolute must to use a primer or foundation before you put it on (but isn't that a must with basically any eyeshadow?) As you can see from my photos i have worn it out pretty well. Especially the every day darkish shades and the very light white/cream shades. I tend to use them more so i use the bottom palette (the one that's attached to the case) more than the top.
The whole 120 colours

When you open the palette you can only see the orange green and blue shades, so i was initially disappointed, thinking i had only received one layer (silly me!) But i soon discover that when you pick that layer up, there's a whole ton more amazing eye shadows for me to use. I think the browns would be the most worn down in any palette, because they are great to mix together to create stunning subtle tones. But i did go through a while of creating a 'rainbow' effect on my eyelids. It looked pretty cool, actually. The only criticism i would give it would be that it is far from being practical, and you can't exactly take the eyeshadow with you to top up on a night out or meal. But I've found on the Fräulein3°8 site an eyeshadow palette with detachable sections, look at it HERE

Some of the amazing shades
deep purples and some shades of brown
The whole palette in general has lasted me forEVER I've had it for a good couple of years now, and i still don't need any other eye shadows in my life, I'm quite happy with this one thank you very much! I haven't even thought of what i will do with it once most of it has ran out... it will be quite upsetting. There are some amazing mixed eye shadows on the side of the palette, which look marbley. They are mostly in the green and blue shades but they look really quite cool, but again i don't really use those ones. I made some swatches to show you what it is actually like when it is on.
swatches of some of the blacks/metallic silvers
swatches of some of the browns/dark reds/golds

swatches of some of the blue shades

As you can see the colours do show up very well, and i haven't put any foundation on my hand so considering there isn't a primer on there to really emphasise the colours they really do the job and work well! They're probably not the best product out there, but if you're looking for a good eyeshadow palette, i highly recommend this one because it is really good to use, lasts ages and the range of colours is phenomenal.

I've look at the Fräulein3°8 site and they have a very wide range of eye shadows  and a lot of them come with eyeshadow brushes! Which is a great deal. The site is German, so the currency is euros. But i am pretty sure they ship worldwide so if you want to get your hands on some eye shadows, or browse their other makeup click here.

So overall i think that Fräulein3°8 is a great brand to purchase eyeshadow palettes from, i don't have a say on any of their other makeup but i am sure it is of just the same excellent quality. I'm quite proud of myself for picking this product up, i didn't expect it to be as good as it is!

Remember, you don't have to buy the shades i picked out. They have loads of other different palettes you can choose from, not just my one (but my one is really good) so you have a wide range to choose from!

You can buy the 120 colours jelly matte eyeshadow palette + 16 white brushes for
28.99€ which is  £24.77 in British pounds, which is a pretty good deal considering the brushes are included!

Hope you all had/are having/are about to have a fabulous day! Remember to comment, i love reading what people have to say about my blog/this post. Follow me on any of the links at the top if you liked this. Or follow me on these sites

Review | Sanctuary Spa Body Butter

The company that makes this body butter
Hey guys!
So i get very dry skin, especially on my legs where i have eczema. It gets really annoying trying to find a good moisturiser for it. I have tried E45, and yeah it works but it doesn't work as well as i would want it to and it ends up really sticky and horrible, so if I'm going to bed it sticks to my clothes. So this left me in a bit of a pickle, until i found this 'Award-winning moisture boost to instantly soften for a lasting finish'
What my tub looks like (it's empty)

Now let me tell you in does exactly what it says it does. It is a really good moisturiser, and it is really quite thick, so it doesn't stick to your clothes. You can really feel it working instantly! I love it. I have a 100ml tub which has been all used up! So i can't show you what it looks like inside. But it basically looks like your average cream. I put quite a bit on my legs to make it hydrate, and in the morning when i wake up my legs are silky smooth and i feel great. It is a really good product. Not only does it work, the tub looks like it works too. It is very easy to carry around with you and is very reliable. Even though it says it is a 'Body Butter' I do sometimes use it on my face as well, to really moisturise it... i have sensitive skin, and it didn't affect my face in the slightest! All round thumbs up, thanks Sanctuary Spa!

Sanctuary Spa do loads of products, and you can book Spa Days with them! It's a great site, with great products
You can buy the Body Butter from Sanctuary Spa's site HERE for £9.20 300ml
You can buy 'travel' tub for 100ml HERE £4.20
I am unsure how much my one costed, i think it came in a sanctuary spa gift set. So i don't know if they do that size normally.

Review | Herbal Essences - Tousle Me Softly - Finishing Touch Cream

Hi guys! I'm back again.
This time I'm showing you Herbal Essences 'Tousle Me Softly' finishing cream for wavy hair. It is a great product!
I was recommended it by my friend (check out her blog HERE - music, books, films etc) so i decided to purchase some and i really want to thank her for it! It works wonders on my hair!
150ml Finishing Touch Cream
My hair is rather short, but i wear extensions, so it is perfect to add volume and add a messy tousled look. My extensions usually look a lot thicker than my normal hair without using this, but it really makes a good difference and makes a 'sophisticated mess' - i think that's the best way to describe it!

cute little purple tub x
It is fairly straight forward to use, you can use it in a few different ways. I mostly use it when drying my hair, i pop a bit on my hair as I'm blow drying it and it makes a nice little messy/wavy effect. Perfect for everyday. You can also take a small amount (about the size of a 10p coin) on dry hair and it creates the same effect for you! It doesn't give an outrageous effect but subtle and slightly wavy, 'tousled' like it says on the tub. But overall it is a great product and i recommend it! Sam's stamp of approval!
the actual product inside
It has a really nice texture to it as well. Like jelly-ish sort of. It just feels like it works, which it does. It might not work as well as you might hope it to, because for different hair means different styles and effects when using products. So it will depend on your hair condition.

You can buy Herbal Essences - Tousle Me Softly - Finishing Cream from boots HERE for £4.79 xx
Hope you all had a wonderful day c: Make sure you check out Hannah's blog too
Happy Blogging xx

Review | Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment

Hi everyone!
So, Ojon  is quite an expensive brand, so you'd expect it to be just as good in quality, which i can assure you it is. This Restorative Hair Treatment is something i used very frequently when my hair was very damaged from dying it so often. Now, because of this amazing product, my hair is as good as new and is growing fast.  All you need is a little tub, which is smaller than the palm of your hand, just 41g and your hair will feel shiny and new after several uses.

It's easy to apply, as long as you don't mind getting oily hands - in the tub it looks very hard and solid. But you just scoop a minuscule amount on to you finger and start rubbing it into your hand. The substance starts to become a sort of liquid because of your body heat, which makes it easy to apply to your hair. Then once it is very oily and there are no flakes of the solid left, you apply it to the ends of your hair, the parts that are the driest, and that's it. There's no need to wash it before hand, you just put it on and leave it.

What it looks like when you just get it out
what it looks like after it is rubbed in
I tend to put it on when i am about to go to sleep, because it looks like it was never there in the morning. Or if i'm having a lazy day, ill put quite a bit on. It does make the ends of your hair look greasy, but it is worth it. I swear by this product, it cures split ends and dry bits. You can even just add a small amount and spread it very far and it won't even look like your hair has any product on it! It does have a distinctive scent, which can be quite overwhelming at times, but you forget about that when you feel the results in your hair! Absolutely incredible!

amount left - used it for 2 years! Amazing!
I've had this product for probably about 2 years now (don't worry, it lasts 36 months) and it is only about half empty. I use it a lot less now, because my hair is practically fixed. But every once in a while i put some on just to keep my hair in good condition.

So if you have dry hair which needs fixing, this is the best treatment i have come across, it's easy and no hassle and it WORKS!
Thank you Ojon for this amazing product
You can buy this product from Ojon HERE  for £16.00!
